Who are Flying Start Nurseries?
A family-run business since 1993, Flying Start is currently a group of 5 nurseries in Cornwall and Devon. With the support of eyworks, we aim to give every child a Flying Start to a Lifelong Learning.

What problems were you facing?
Before implementing eyworks, we relied heavily on paper-based systems. This not only made administration time-consuming but also increased the risk of human error, misplaced documents, and inefficiencies across our nurseries. Managing multiple sites meant handling vast amounts of paperwork, which could sometimes slow down important processes. We knew there had to be a better way to ensure accuracy, security, and efficiency in our operations.
How did eyworks help?
As we worked with eyworks in the early part of its start-up, Rachit (CEO) was very involved and understood his software well. This gave us real confidence, that we would be able to create a suitable product for us as a chain.
Fast forward nearly a decade, and our operations have been transformed. We are now largely paper-free, from a customer experience, staff experience and also in the office! We use a combination of eylog, eymanage, eyenquiries, eypeople and eyrecruit to handle everything from learning journals and staff scheduling to recruitment and HR management.

What is it like now that eyworks is in place?
With eyworks in place, our nurseries run more smoothly than ever before. Automating key processes has not only reduced administrative burden but has also given our staff more time to do what they are good at – being with the children, and ensuring they have a thriving environment in which to develop and grow.
Our staff now probably don’t remember a time without eyworks. It is part of the experience we offer our parents and staff!
